The "Online Teaching" Line

This route will focus on the development of best practices in online teaching and learning. (Under construction)

It will offer online training in VCC's Moodle LMS, via the "Moodle Essentials" line (and may extend into the PIDP program in the future).

The "Online Design" Line

This route will focus on the planning and design of online teaching and learning environments. (Under construction)

This line will offer online training in developing departmental online learning strategies, and design methodologies (such as Backwards Design).

Suggested Audience: VCC Instructors and Leaders

The "Moodle Essentials" Line

This route focuses on developing course authoring proficiency in the Moodle Learning Management System.

It offers introductory training in all aspects of VCC's Moodle LMS, and can lead to specialized training in topics like Gradebook management, video creation, or interactive media design.

The "Media" Line

This route will focus on developing proficiency in creating rich media content for online courses. (Under construction)

It starts with VCC's Kaltura media platform, and moves into advanced video production topics including screen-casting, storyboarding and scripting, and integrating video in multimedia projects.

Suggested Audience: VCC Instructors with previous Moodle experience

The "Interactive" Line

This route will focus on developing proficiency in creating engaging interactive activities. (Under construction)

It offers online training in Moodle-based tools like the Glossary, the Game module, and H5P.
