New Faculty Orientation

As the department leader, you are responsible for onboarding new faculty.
The following resources can help you:

If you’re considering ways to orient new faculty more efficiently/consistently, connect with the Instructional Associates for support.

Strategies can include:

• creating a training checklist/agenda with timelines, delegation, and engaging activities;
• creating a Moodle shell for a blended orientation – faculty complete some asynchronous orientation on their own (and get some Moodle practice), along with in-person department orientation.

Investing in reusable/scalable training can have long-term beneficial impacts for the department and save some of your valuable time.
